Remote
Pro works with Window Designer to link multiple
packages via modem. This has two main advantages,
the first being the ability to link salesmen
out in the field to the main office, the
second is to link companies using Window
Designer to their customers so that orders
can be entered by the customer and transferred
to the main system. Remote Pro has the following
facilities:-
Remote
Pro Server module answers incoming calls
and receives jobs entered via third parties
over the telephone line.
Incoming
jobs are checked for validity, and the customer
information is updated along with the prices
so that the job looks as if it has been
entered on the main system.
Production
and delivery dates can be automatically
calculated and instantly reported back along
with the order number to the sending customer.
The
job sender has options of whether to send
customer details and pricing details so
that the supplier can be stopped from seeing
confidential information.
All
jobs are sent in compressed format to minimise
transmission time.
