The
Glass Optimiser provides software for glass
processing customers. It links directly
with Glass Processing and Window Designer
by reading its glass orders and window files.
The Glass Optimiser will cope with single,
double and triple glazing and provides the
following facilities:-
100
customisable glass types are available each
supporting 25 stock sizes.
The
optimising algorithms have been used in
a live environment for the last 8 years.
Settings
can be customised depending on the complexity
of cutting required and the speed of processing
machine. Optimising can be run in
the background so that other work can be
continued without waiting for completion.
Time
limits can be set for each sheet so that
the optimiser conforms to your specifications.
Batches
are automatically saved and can be recalled
at any point.
Optimum
and maximum settings can be used to restrict
the number of orders optimised simultaneously.
The optimiser will normally use up to the
optimum level but if the achieved utilisation
falls below what is required then the optimiser
will use up to the maximum level specified.
Extra
orders can be added and a batch restarted
at a specific sheet if the utilisation falls
below an acceptable level.
Multiple
rack types are supported allowing glass
to be sent to different work centres when
cut.
Once
optimised, cutting sheets and labels can
be printed for the whole batch or a single
sheet.
Hand
cut items are automatically reported so
that they may be cut separately.
Optional
links to major cutting tables are available.
An
optional direct link is available for a
Powergrind cutting table which replaces
the disk drive and actually drives the table
with the following enhanced features:-
Optimisation
for the Powergrind is done whilst cutting
the previous sheet.
Breakage's
can be fed straight back into the optimiser.
Extra
orders can be added whilst optimising thus
never getting the dreaded last sheet.
Automatically
informs the user when a job is finished.
Includes a query system to see what has
been cut and what is left.
